Let me say that. Heavenly Father, we come before you today with hearts full of love and concern for our dear Mary Ann, who is currently in the hospital. Lord, we lift her up to You and ask for Your divine healing and comfort to surround her during these challenging times. Father, grant Mary Ann the strength and courage to face each day with hope and determination. Fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and let her feel Your presence beside her, giving her the reassurance that she is never alone. We ask that You touch her body with Your healing hands, restoring her health and bringing relief to any pain or discomfort she may experience. Lord, we lift her up to You and ask for Your divine healing and comfort to surround her during these challenging times. Lord, we also pray for the medical team caring for Mary Ann. Give them wisdom, knowledge, and compassion as they provide her with the best possible care. Guide their hands and hearts in every decision they make. Heavenly Father, we know that You are the Great Physician, and we trust in Your perfect plan for Mary Ann's life. Please grant her patience and perseverance as she undergoes treatment and recovery, surrounding her with love and support from family and friends, and let the encouragement lift her spirits. We thank You, O Lord, for the incredible strength and faith that Mary Ann has shown throughout her life. May her unwavering trust in You continue to inspire and encourage those around her. We place her in Your loving hands, confidence in Your promise to never leave nor forsake her. In Jesus' name we pray, amen. Amen. Thank you. Thank you, Eric. It was beautiful. Okay, I thank you enough for your friendship and all of the talks we had. I have so thoroughly enjoyed today. I know I probably bored you to death with everything, but I think you understand me more than anybody else. I have a dear friend, Rick Beltram. I don't know if I've told you about Rick, but he was our County Chairman. He called me just next month, shortly before you came in he's going to Denver; he's going to be new to the Kiwanis president. But we worked together for 10 years while he was chairman. He would call me up and he'd say,'Riley?' Oh, God, no! What now? We've got two events in two days. We will meet in one hour to plan the events. CNN would call us, and they'd love to come to Spartanburg because we had everything all planned out for them; they never had to do anything. He said,'We love to come.' He says,'You guys, everything's so planned out.' I asked Rick to speak at my funeral, and I said,'We've had a lot of bitter fights and we've had a lot of bitter loves. You know, we respect and love each other.' He's one of the most intelligent men I've ever met as far as political things go. And I said,'But Eric, it's people like you and Rick, and so many others that I've come across that have been the wind beneath my wings, and that's why'... when I, I really want this dedication to go to all my friends who've been the wind beneath my wings to let me soar the way that I have through my life. I've had almost 88 years of of a fantastic life with all the twists and turns. Of a good roller coaster, and so these are some of the things that I have all the faith in God, that He's going to take me when He wants me. He's going to pick this little weed out of this flower bed, take me up there, and put me in a nice big beautiful white gown, and say,'Okay, honey, I think you've ruined your wings.' And so I will flitter around every now and then, you might feel a little tap on your shoulder; say,'Okay Marianne, I'm here.' But these are the things I want you to

know:

I have enjoyed your friendship so much, and I appreciate so much that you've been doing for everybody. You are God's epistle you're God's apostle not. Epistle apostle, I'm sorry. Apostle, I'm doing his work and for other people, and this is what you're training other people to be other apostles for him. I don't know how I can thank you for everything that you've done for me, because you have really been a Godsend to me in many ways. Thank you, no thank you, thank you! And I want to thank God for putting you in my life, because it has been really a wonderful journey, and I can't thank you enough. Maybe someday I can win the lottery and I can give you a million dollars... no, you gave me more than any money can spare. As I tell people, that when I see you, I see how hard you work, how hard you have compassion For people who motivate me,

I say:

you know, I was looking at some videos when we had our Blue initiative, and you came out there in the rain with your walker you don't even know how much that touched me. And you know, so I just want you to be strong; let's, we'll be strong together. We have a project that God is going to see us through it, if not. You know how to finish my story? You have Rick's number, you have Sharon's number, you have Amy's number, you have so many numbers that I've given you use those people! They will they have tales to tell some of them are new, some of them are old. And we, as I tell people, as I tell my friends,

you know:

there's a season. In every life, I've gone through a lot of seasons. I've done a lot of things in my life; some good, some bad. And we were talking not too long ago, and I was telling him about you know when I wanted to run for office when Ralph Davenport wasn't going to run. And I said... My cousin threatened me when we were little because when we were little, I think I told you about stealing the brooch and she always told me if she was going to let it out to the newspapers if I decided to run. Well, so I was talking to a friend of mine in Indiana, and I said,'I just got another text from Donald Trump,' and he says,'I want you to meet my next vice president.' And I said and I wanted to write back,

and I'm going to say:

I already know her. I've decided I'm going to run as your vice president, and so I'm going to run.

I told my friends across the country:

'If you don't know who to vote for for vice president, write in Marianne.' And so this has gotten to be kind of a joke across the country right now with some of my friends. But as I say, this is what I'm going to do this is what I really want. All of the people, including my mother and dad of course they're always going to be top-notch people and they're the ones that started me on this wonderful life and told me how to meet other people who would be an asset to my life. Not that I would ever use them or anything like that, but they would help me grow, and that's what my daddy wanted me to do - to grow as a person, to grow in my mind, and all these others. But I never thought that he would ever think that his little 10-year-old (I was 8 at the time; I'm sorry, I was getting 4th grade into 5th grade) that he would think that I was so independent. That I told you I had gone to the Catholic school for 4th grade for my first communion and then I was like,'Oh my god!' In 5th grade, I decided I didn't have enough of Catholic school, and I went and re-enrolled myself into the public school, and never told anybody. And so when The priest came down to the store where my dad was. He says,'Clem, why hasn't Mary Ann been in school?' And she says,'She's been in school, Father.' She hasn't been in school. My dad comes home and asks me,'Why haven't you been going to school?' I said,'I've been going to school, but I'd had enough of the Catholic school, so I re-enrolled in the public school, that's what I did.' How many 8-9 year olds would do that? How many would dare do that? How many would even think about doing that? But see, these are the things my parents not encouraged by any means. But they encouraged me to grow, encouraged me to meet people, to get everything I could get from them as far as knowledge. and this is what I want to do I failed in some some I haven't some of my statements I know I failed but then I look at people like Jim down in Florida I look at my the one student that's out in Texas that she's a dentist and then some others that are around the country that I keep in contact with of what how they've achieved and yet I read in the newspaper some that were killed you know what I mean and then I look at them and I think oh my gosh but I know I had a point of their life and so these are the things that I want to dedicate to all the people that were the wind beneath my wings can I do that yes ma'am and I will write that and I want to make Sure that you're a part of it because you have been such a help to me. You have helped me in so many ways, and I don't think you even realize how you can calm me down. How I think when I think about what all you're doing, and I thought, boy, if I could only do help you, I would love to go out and help you at your church. I would love to go out and teach with those children. I would love to do all these things, but it's not in the cards right now. But who knows? Maybe somebody that you come across will know somebody that I know. They'll say,'Oh, yeah, can I come help you? What can I do for you, Eric?' And that's what I want. I want people to reach out to you and help. You and to help all of the people, and all the neighborhoods. I don't care what color they are, what color side of people, religion, or anything else we're all human beings,

and we all have one goal:

it's to meet our heavenly father. And you're such a person; even to live beyond these borders, to go down to Jamaica. Oh, you know, we went to Jamaica once... it was a long time ago, I don't even remember some of it the things that we did there, but it was kind of a pass-through.
